Registration all day. Dinner and Awards start at 7pm.
Texas Hold'em Charity Fundraiser will take place 30 minutes following the Awards Banquet. Exact time will be determined at the Banquet
ASK THE BRASS – Got a question that you haven’t been able to find the answer to? Want to ask a hard question where everyone will hear the answer? Got a problem you just haven’t been able to get solved? Starfleet’s top leadership will be on hand for discussion and questions.
AWARDS CEREMONY – After the banquet is the Awards Ceremony, where Region 02’s highest achievers and hardest workers will be recognized for their excellence in the prior year. Starfleet members spend hundreds of hours each year, working on their newsletters and web pages, helping charities and running their chapters and region. It is an occasion to recognize those members who quietly and efficiently go about doing things for Region 02 and the community and who make a difference in our world.
BANQUET – The midpoint of the Summit is Saturday Night’s formal banquet. Enjoy your choice of main courses, sides, salads and desserts, hobnob with Starfleet’s leadership, and show off your best uniform or fanciest dress. The evening will finish with the awards ceremony. -
CADET ACTIVITIES – Cadets from ages 7 to 12 will be entertained by games and activities with others their age. On Friday night, there will be a video game tournament with prizes for all! On Saturday, the cadets will learn about the Vulcan culture by participating in Vulcan games and rituals such as Kal-toh and the Kolinahr and much more!
CHARITY AUCTION – Please bid often and high. - Pete Mohney
CLOSING CEREMONIES – Sunday afternoon will see the end of another Summit. Come to the closing ceremonies and say goodbye to your friends until next time; thank those who have made the last year a great one; and see a few last-minute awards be presented.
COMMANDING OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S MEETING – CO’s and XO’s from across Starfleet will gather to discuss strategies for making their chapters better, what problems they have had an how they can avoid them, and how to best use Starfleet’s resources to help make their chapter run as smoothly and easily as possible.
GREAT DALMUTI TOURNAMENT – Join the Dalmutis, merchants and peasants of Region Two as they battle it out for possession of that most high of honors – the Great Dalmuti of Region 02! If you aren’t cut out for nobility, you can slug it out with the peasants to avoid being branded the lowest of the low – the Great Peon of Starfleet. Bring your wits and cunning, because you’ll need them! - Pete Mohney
INTRODUCTION TO STARFLEET – Klingons, Romulans, Borg and Trekkies! Oh My! Find out what makes up Starfleet and what it can do for you as a member.
MARINE MUSTER – Nearly 25% of the members of Starfleet are members of the Starfleet Marine Corps. Interested in a Starfleet experience with a little more edge and discipline? Join the Commandant and his staff for the beginning of a full day of events and panels about and for the Corps. - Rebecca Self
OPENING CEREMONIES – Meet the staff of the Summit and of Region 02 in this welcome session. The Regional Coordinator will deliver the State of the Region address, the Chapter Roll Call will be read, and promotions up to Commander will be given.
QUARTERMASTER – Come to the store and browse through more than a dozen tables including charity auction items, some of central Alabama’s purveyors of fine fan merchandise, Region Two’s quartermaster and more! Starfleet Academy courses will be available from a SFA representative. The quartermaster will be open for extended hours all through the weekend. - Denby Potts
SUMMIT 2008 HOSPITALITY SUITE – The hosts of the Region 02 Summit 2007 will staff and stock this room with munchies all weekend (and they’ll probably have information and registration for Summit 2007 available too!). Come by just about any time to take the edge off your hunger or thirst, -
